Simulate and enhance the user experience within the vehicle

The objective of this research project was to analyze and prototype the existing interfaces of Tesla and Byton in order to understand their interaction logics and explore new interface avenues.

An important secondary research effort was carried out, akin to a thorough audit of their systems, with the aim of faithfully transcribing them into digital format.

Development

I ensured the entire development of the VR prototype, from research to technical implementation. Some interfaces were specifically designed for this project, such as a menu that allows users to switch vehicles or interfaces on the fly. Technically, I developed everything using Unity3D, a powerful engine used to create advanced interactive experiences, which are compatible with Steam VR hardware.

Final product

The application allows interaction with various vehicle interfaces via a physical pad or a 2D touch interface, with model choice and its features.
It provides the client and their teams with a flexible and cost-effective solution to test their concepts and new interactions at scale.
